This month’s special guests:
Dave Schroeder: Executive Director of the Kenton County Public Library since 2007. Dave is a native of Ludlow Kentucky, and longtime library employee since 1986, most notably serving as the Kentucky History Librarian for several years. He also held the position of Archivist for Thomas More College and the Diocese of Covington from 1996 to 2000. Schroeder earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Thomas More College in Crestview Hills, Kentucky. He also holds a Master of Arts degree in History from the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Science degree in Library Science from the University of Kentucky. He is the author of Life Along the Ohio : A Sesquicentennial History of Ludlow, Kentucky (Little Miami Press 2014), co-editor of Gateway City : Covington, Kentucky, 1815-2015 (Clerisy Press 2015) and co-author of Lost Northern Kentucky (History Press 2018).
Bridget Striker: Local History Coordinator at the Boone County Public Library since 2005. Bridget has filled many roles within the Boone County Library system for the past 20+ years, from reference librarian to digital archivist and genealogy collections specialist. Most recently, Bridget has worked extensively on documenting individuals who participated in the Underground Railroad with ties to Boone County.

Nancy serves as the Reading Room Coordinator and Visual Resources Librarian for the Department of Library Special Collections at WKU. A native of Mt. Hermon, Richey has been a faculty member at WKU since July 2008. She is responsible for collection development for the Kentucky Library for Genealogy and Local History, and for providing research assistance and library research instruction to individuals, classes and organizations.

Now that the 1950 United States Census has been released, our next Genealogy Tea & Sympathy will cover the latest updates about use, access, and what we’ve found so far.
