Join us for a special Thursday Night Genealogy Live Event! On July 9th, we will be hosting a Lineage Society Night with representatives from various lineage societies on hand to help with your application research. Do you qualify for DAR, SAR, or the Mayflower Society? Unsure about the process and eligibility requirements? Plan a research visit between 4:00pm and 7:30pm for hands-on advice and presentations by Historians/Registrars from local and national lineage societies.

From 4:00-7:30 we will have these experts on hand to help with research. In the later part of the evening, and during our regular Thursday Night Live time slot, the representatives will be giving presentations about how to join their societies.

Presentations by:

Myra Evans: State Registrar, DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution)

Anissa Penn Davis: Kentucky State Historian for the General Society of Mayflower Descendants.

Regular Thursday Night Events: Join us each Thursday evening in the Library Reading Room during regular season hours for a full hour of genealogy instruction. These genealogy sessions will take place each Thursday night from 6:30-7:30PM, beginning March 12th and running until December 10th. All it takes is an hour to hone your research skills, get started on the basics, preserve your documents, get organized, become more familiar with genealogy software or share your genealogy success stories!
Sessions are free and registration is NOT required. For more info: khsrefdesk@ky.gov or 502-564-1792 x.4460
