Panel Session: Researching African American Roots in Kentucky @ Kentucky Historical Society | Frankfort | Kentucky | United States
Join KHS and the African American Genealogy Group of Kentucky as we host a panel session on researching Kentucky African American Roots! This expert panel will explore the resources and Kentucky specific strategies for locating your African American ancestors. The session will take place on Saturday, February 17th, 2018, 2-4 p.m. at the KHS’ Center for Kentucky History – It will be held in the Keeneland Gallery, which is the current home of the Kentucky Freetowns exhibit. Please plan to arrive a little early to review the exhibit images – many subjects are unidentified, and we could use your expertise identifying Freetown residents of Central Kentucky! The panel members will be announced very soon, so stay tuned! Pre-Registration is not required. The panel session event is Free for KHS members, AAGGKY members OR part of the KHS’ general admission. For more information please call 502-564-1792 x.4460 or by e-mailing us at: khsrefdesk@ky.gov
