Join KHS staff as they take you through a Family History Writing and Publishing Boot Camp! This event is part one of a 2 part series designed to guide you through the steps of sharing your family history for future generations. Part I (all day) will cover intense lessons on writing your family narrative – establishing focus, readability/story flow, supporting details and citations. As part of this day, we will also advise on digitizing supplemental content, copyright, and the various ways you can publish what you write. At the end of the class, you will be equipped with the knowledge and abilities to start your publication journey. For Part II (afternoon only) on November 3rd, we will meet to discuss your writings as produced over the past month, and work with you on publishing a product to have ready for sharing with family in time for the Holidays!

Part I event runs from 10:30am-12:30pm AND 2-4pm. Cost: $24 for KHS members OR $30 + $8 general admission for non-members. Part II (November 3rd, 2-4:30pm) is a separate event with its own fee, but a package discount would apply if purchasing both events. (Package Cost for both Parts I & II: $35 for KHS Members OR $55 for Non-Members) Seating is limited and pre-registration is required. To register, please call 502-564-1792 x.4408.
